David Rudi has successfully defended his doctoral thesis on 16 September (“Enhancing Spatial Awareness of Pilots in Commercial Aviation”). We cordially congratulate, and are happy that he’ll stay with us as a PostDoc starting from November!
We congratulate Ioannis Giannopoulos to his new university professor position at TU Vienna, where he is heading the Research Group Geoinformation at the Department of Geodesy and Geoinformation (since January). Ioannis was a PhD student and PostDoc with the GeoGazeLab between 2012 and 2017.
Andrew Duchowski, a professor of Computer Science at Clemson University, will have a research stay in our group during his sabbatical (January to April 2016). He is a noted research leader in the field of eye tracking, having produced a corpus of papers and a textbook related to eye tracking research, and delivered courses and seminars on the subject at international conferences.
He’ll be a speaker at our Winter School in Monte Verità in January, co-editing our Special Issue in Spatial Cognition and Computation, and collaborate in our ongoing projects.
Martin Sudmanns, a Master student of Geoinformatics at Salzburg University, joins our team for a 3-months internship, starting in March 2015.
